The Big N finally gave us the news that we were waiting for! They did not give any details though, but a confirmation is good enough for most people! That’s right, they officially announced they will be making a new Super Smash Bros game for the Wii U AND THE 3DS!!!!!!! They have not released any name or anything, because that is basically all they know at the time as well. The game most likely will not be making Wii U launch day because the makers of the game, Project Sora are already working on Kid Icarus: Uprising for the 3DS which is planned for release sometime this year. At earliest I would expect the game in launch window, if not later. The only other thing Iwata announced was that “the two games will work together in some fashion.”
At Nintendo’s E3 keynote the other day, they announced/revealed some more inside looks into upcoming games, such as this. They officially announced Luigi’s Mansion 2 for the 3DS. They also game a brief trailer for the game. This game will feature more than one mansion to explore, so the content may be a little larger than before. Overall, can’t wait for it to come out!
It has been confirmed that friend codes will not take it’s place in the Wii U’s online experience! This is very good news to most of us, because friend codes were a pain in everyone’s butt when it came to adding friends to every game ;| (it makes me tired when I think about it!) Ok, so I expect it to be something like the 3DS friend codes, where you have one code for the system instead of every little game. It has been confirmed that it will be something like Xbox 360’s GamerTags, so below is an example of that to give you a visual. Thanks!
Ok, so it has been confirmed (kinda) that there will only be one new Wii U controller possible to use at a time while gaming. The others will have to use wiimote controllers. The system will include 1 new controller, and so far as we know, they will NOT be sold separately. But when I say this, the source giving us this says they “don’t know at the moment if it I’d possible to sync another controller.” So yeah, I guess we wait until we have a real answer. ๐
Rayman Origins has a new trailer and it’s looking better than ever. It’s great to see Rayman back to his 2D platforming roots and the new art style is looking especially fantastic. There is also the addition of co-op which makes Rayman Origins almost seem to good to be true.
Rayman Origins is set to release later this year for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Wii; with a 3DS release looking very possible at this point in time.
Sly Cooper 4 Gameplay Trailer

After yesterday’s not-too-surprising-but-still-awesome reveal of Sly Cooper 4, the guys at GameTrailers have gotten the first snippet of gameplay. Keep in mind that the Sly here is an older Sly than the one in the original trilogy and that the game isn’t being developed by inFamous makers, but newcomers Sanzaru Games, who also ported the trilogy to the PlayStation 3 last year. I can tell they’re really excited about this game as much as I (lots!).
See the video below!
Nintendo also showed off some awesome features in Mariokart 3D!!!! And let me tell you, this game looks worth the wait! One new feature, as shown below is the chance to customize your whole car!!! Now you have full control over your wheels, main seat, etc!
Another feature, which i wasn’t able to find any picture of, is the ability to drive on things other than land! You now have the option to fly, using a hang glider that comes out of your car when needed, and the option to drive underwater with a propeller that comes out of your car when needed!
I also noticed that it seems that they have used older race tracks, such as ones from the wii and old DS game for some of the gameplay shown. While it is not ALL old tracks, it is just a mix between old and new!
There is no release DAY or MONTH yet, but Nintendo has shortened the expectation period to this holiday season!
Ok, so the big N also release a lot more game details on Pit’s new adventure for the 3DS. We knew the basic info like ground and air combat, etc, etc. But now, we know a lot more! We now know that this game will feature online multiplayer! It is a 3 on 3 game where you work as teams to kill the other team. Simple, but an awesome add-on. Also, they added AR games! This is really cool because you can place down say a Pit and a Boss AR card. And the characters will come out of the card and fight each other! The only thing else I could have hoped for is at least a release month, but no such luck. All we know for now, is that the game will be released before the end of this year. Below is a picture of the AR cards!
Ok, so Nintendo gave a little news on their Wii game Skyward Sword, and this news may make some people very happy! First off, they said it is finally finished! They also released that they have set for it to release sometime during the Holiday Season of 2011. Also, they said because of Zelda going on its 25th anniversary, they have decided to add something special to the package at first launch.
They have design a special gold wii remote that they will be packaging with the game at first shipment. This controller (pictured below) is a basic Wii remote with the Zelda logo in the middle of the gold paint. Overall, some good news came out of the keynote today that made many VERY happy!!! ๐
