The Big N finally gave us the news that we were waiting for! They did not give any details though, but a confirmation is good enough for most people! That’s right, they officially announced they will be making a new Super Smash Bros game for the Wii U AND THE 3DS!!!!!!! They have not released any name or anything, because that is basically all they know at the time as well. The game most likely will not be making Wii U launch day because the makers of the game, Project Sora are already working on Kid Icarus: Uprising for the 3DS which is planned for release sometime this year. At earliest I would expect the game in launch window, if not later. The only other thing Iwata announced was that “the two games will work together in some fashion.”

Goodbye Friend Codes, and welcome GamerTags!

It has been confirmed that friend codes will not take it’s place in the Wii U’s online experience! This is very good news to most of us, because friend codes were a pain in everyone’s butt when it came to adding friends to every game ;| (it makes me tired when I think about it!) Ok, so I expect it to be something like the 3DS friend codes, where you have one code for the system instead of every little game. It has been confirmed that it will be something like Xbox 360’s GamerTags, so below is an example of that to give you a visual. Thanks!

There is one, and only one.

Ok, so it has been confirmed (kinda) that there will only be one new Wii U controller possible to use at a time while gaming. The others will have to use wiimote controllers. The system will include 1 new controller, and so far as we know, they will NOT be sold separately. But when I say this, the source giving us this says they “don’t know at the moment if it I’d possible to sync another controller.” So yeah, I guess we wait until we have a real answer. 🙂

Ok, so the new console was just announced! As I personally don’t like the name that much, this console is one to talk about. First, lets talk about the all new controller design and functionality. This new controller, as seen above features a 6.2-inch touch screen in the middle, with duel analog stick on either side, a front-facing camera, a D pad and A,B,X, and Y buttons. Also, R and L buttons, AND XR and XL buttons on the back. Now, this is not just controller, it is also another wireless option for home console gaming.

Say you are playing your wii U on your families TV and your sister or brother decide they want to watch TV. So all you have to do, it change the TV to a TV program, and your game (such as Super Mario Bros) is now in the palm of your hands and you can exit the room while still continuing the same game, just on a smaller screen. Not just that, but this controller also has some new and welcomes features worth mentioning.

This controller, since it has the touch screen, it has so many options for gaming companies and Nintendo to make and release in later times. Some of the features of the controller include: Face chat using the front facing camera, Web Browsing, a Gyroscope, an accelerometer, and a mic. Overall, I am very impressed with the controller layout and design and I cant wait to get my hands on it. But remember, the console is also pretty important in this!

The console (as seen below) fashions an Xbox 360 shape/design with a pure white look. Overall, this system looks very stylish and modern. Concerning the graphics, they are easily AT LEAST up to par with the 360 and PS3, if not higher. Over, this system seems amazing and cant wait to get my hands on it. A list of the announced games will be posted soon so stay tooned!
