E3 2011: Rayman Origins Trailer

Posted: June 9, 2011 by CUD in 3DS, Playstation 3, Wii, Xbox 360

Rayman Origins has a new trailer and it’s looking better than ever. It’s great to see Rayman back to his 2D platforming roots and the new art style is looking especially fantastic. There is also the addition of co-op which makes Rayman Origins almost seem to good to be true.

Rayman Origins is set to release later this year for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Wii; with a 3DS release looking very possible at this point in time.

After yesterday’s not-too-surprising-but-still-awesome reveal of Sly Cooper 4, the guys at GameTrailers have gotten the first snippet of gameplay. Keep in mind that the Sly here is an older Sly than the one in the original trilogy and that the game isn’t being developed by inFamous makers, but newcomers Sanzaru Games, who also ported the trilogy to the PlayStation 3 last year. I can tell they’re really excited about this game as much as I (lots!).

See the video below!

“Did i ever tell you the definition of insanity?”

Well Far Cry 3 has been announced with a live gameplay demonstration at E3 which delivers impressive graphics, story telling and gameplay. The cover system seems very smooth in transitioning automatically when close to an object, while taking cover the player has the ability to blindfire; something that isn’t too common amongst FPS.

There is some great acting on the part of the ‘bad guy’ who makes an impression as a sadistic villain. It will be interesting to see how this character develops and how well the story is presented; so far things are looking good for Far Cry 3 which is set to be released in 2012 for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC.

Last night at Sony’s keynote at e3, they released some very stunning pieces of technology, and a new portable device they labeled the “vita”.

This new handheld has enhanced graphics, 2 touch screens (front and back), and fashions the design of the original PSP with duel analog stick. The front screen features a 5-inch OLED while the back is a basic touch pad. This device also features 2 camera to incorporate augmented reality (you mean, like AR GAMES on the 3DS?) This portable will be released with a starting price of $250 for the basic Wifi version, and $300 for the 3G + WiFi version. Now, I tell you the funny part (at least to me) about this device, the carrier. Sony announced that they chose AT&T to be the service provider for this device and trust me, the audience LOVED that decision! (sarcasm) The device currently has over 80 titles in development including ones from companies such as Capcom, Sega, EA, Ubisoft, and THQ. As of now, no release date has been announced.

Now, on to their other electronics they decided to announce! This 24-inch monitor (yes, monitor NOT TV) features 3D graphics. The package will also include a pair of 3D shutter image glasses, an HDMI cable to plug in to your console, and Residence 3 the game. Now, you may be wondering why this is so special, right? Well, I’ll tell you. This monitor features the ability to show two different images at the same time. Confused? I’ll explain. In other words, if you are playing multiplayer with 1 other person (who is also wearing a pair of glasses) you will both see a different screen. So there is no more need for screen splitting. This bundle with everything will be priced at $499 and no official release date has been specified.
