E3 2011: Rayman Origins Trailer

Posted: June 9, 2011 by CUD in 3DS, Playstation 3, Wii, Xbox 360

Rayman Origins has a new trailer and it’s looking better than ever. It’s great to see Rayman back to his 2D platforming roots and the new art style is looking especially fantastic. There is also the addition of co-op which makes Rayman Origins almost seem to good to be true.

Rayman Origins is set to release later this year for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Wii; with a 3DS release looking very possible at this point in time.

Microsoft showed off their new Xbox 360 dashboard which as well as making changes to the interface that allows for much easier navigation using controller, gesture (with Kinect) or voice it also adds youtube, bing and live TV functionality. The update will also add cloud storage for gamertags including save files; so no more gamertag recoveries.

There is also the added feature called ‘beacons’ which will tell your friend on Xbox Live and Facebook what you want to play and if other friends are playing or also want to play the same game, the specifics of this system are not yet known but it is sounding like a good way to get your friends attention if you want to play a game with them.

The Xbox 360 dashboard update will be available worldwide this fall.

“Did i ever tell you the definition of insanity?”

Well Far Cry 3 has been announced with a live gameplay demonstration at E3 which delivers impressive graphics, story telling and gameplay. The cover system seems very smooth in transitioning automatically when close to an object, while taking cover the player has the ability to blindfire; something that isn’t too common amongst FPS.

There is some great acting on the part of the ‘bad guy’ who makes an impression as a sadistic villain. It will be interesting to see how this character develops and how well the story is presented; so far things are looking good for Far Cry 3 which is set to be released in 2012 for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC.

This is the worldwide trailer for the new game in the modern warfare series. This game was previewed and given a gameplay example yesterday at E3 during Microsoft’s keynote.

Microsoft ended their E3 press conference with a teaser trailer for a new Halo title featuring Master Chief himself. It’s called, yep you guessed it, Halo 4. It doesn’t reveal much, as you’d expect from a teaser trailer, but it definitely teases that’s for sure. Watch the video above and be filled with anticipation.

Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary has been announced with this debut trailer shown at E3. The trailer outlines the improvements made to the game including remastered HD graphics, Co-op over Xbox Live and “seven of the greatest multiplayer maps of all time”. From the trailer, the multiplayer is shown to feature assassinations as featured in Halo Reach so the gameplay will have some variations from the original, but it is definitely looking like a great remake and a must have for Halo fans.

It is set to be released on November 15 2011 and will apparently retail for $39.99.
