E3 2011: Rayman Origins Trailer

Posted: June 9, 2011 by CUD in 3DS, Playstation 3, Wii, Xbox 360

Rayman Origins has a new trailer and it’s looking better than ever. It’s great to see Rayman back to his 2D platforming roots and the new art style is looking especially fantastic. There is also the addition of co-op which makes Rayman Origins almost seem to good to be true.

Rayman Origins is set to release later this year for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Wii; with a 3DS release looking very possible at this point in time.

Ok, so Nintendo gave a little news on their Wii game Skyward Sword, and this news may make some people very happy! First off, they said it is finally finished! They also released that they have set for it to release sometime during the Holiday Season of 2011. Also, they said because of Zelda going on its 25th anniversary, they have decided to add something special to the package at first launch.

They have design a special gold wii remote that they will be packaging with the game at first shipment. This controller (pictured below) is a basic Wii remote with the Zelda logo in the middle of the gold paint. Overall, some good news came out of the keynote today that made many VERY happy!!! 😀

Ok, so the new console was just announced! As I personally don’t like the name that much, this console is one to talk about. First, lets talk about the all new controller design and functionality. This new controller, as seen above features a 6.2-inch touch screen in the middle, with duel analog stick on either side, a front-facing camera, a D pad and A,B,X, and Y buttons. Also, R and L buttons, AND XR and XL buttons on the back. Now, this is not just controller, it is also another wireless option for home console gaming.

Say you are playing your wii U on your families TV and your sister or brother decide they want to watch TV. So all you have to do, it change the TV to a TV program, and your game (such as Super Mario Bros) is now in the palm of your hands and you can exit the room while still continuing the same game, just on a smaller screen. Not just that, but this controller also has some new and welcomes features worth mentioning.

This controller, since it has the touch screen, it has so many options for gaming companies and Nintendo to make and release in later times. Some of the features of the controller include: Face chat using the front facing camera, Web Browsing, a Gyroscope, an accelerometer, and a mic. Overall, I am very impressed with the controller layout and design and I cant wait to get my hands on it. But remember, the console is also pretty important in this!

The console (as seen below) fashions an Xbox 360 shape/design with a pure white look. Overall, this system looks very stylish and modern. Concerning the graphics, they are easily AT LEAST up to par with the 360 and PS3, if not higher. Over, this system seems amazing and cant wait to get my hands on it. A list of the announced games will be posted soon so stay tooned!

New Wii Bundle

In May, Nintendo began to sell a new bundle with their home console the Wii. This bundle includes the Wii console itself, a Mario Kart Wii Game, and a Wii wheel. At this time, the bundle is priced at $149.99, but I expect that to drop in upcoming months due to Nintendo’s new console being released at E3 this year.
